Obituary


Cathleen Joyce Braun, 77 of Johnsburg, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, in Genoa City, Wisconsin. She was born on December 20,1944, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Carl and Marion (Buehring) Conrad. Cathleen was united in marriage to George Braun, a United Airlines pilot, in West Allis, Wisconsin on September 9th, 1972. Cathleen attended the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater where she got her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She was in the Tri-Sigma Sorority and a Whitewater cheerleader. She later became a stewardess for American Airlines in 1970.

Cathleen is survived by her husband, George, her sons, Ahren Braun (Mafe’) and Derrick Braun, stepdaughters, Jeri Braun-Kohlin and Robin (Chris) Dowsett, grandchildren Lyle and Faith Dowsett, and Blake and Chauntel Kohlin. Cathleen was also preceded in death by her brother, Cary Conrad, and her sister, Diane Grasse.

A celebration of life will be held on August 21, at 2:00 PM in Johnsburg, IL, at the Johnsburg Community Center. Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home of Genoa City, WI, is assisting the family. An online guestbook is available at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com

We are very sorry to hear about Cathy Braun. She was a great lady.  Our sympathies and prayers to George Braun and family. Cathy is the beautiful lady on the front right of the photo above.
