Drill Weekend Reservations

We have a group reservation at Maders for Saturday night at 6:30 PM of the DET-4 Drill Weekend. The reservation is for 22 persons. We need confirmation from members and spouses wanting to go, as well as their choice of appetizer, IN ADVANCE, so I can lock-on final headcount as a courtesy to Maders. I need NLT 6 SEPT.

For those wanting to know the restaurant is about 4 long blocks from the Brew Suites hotel.

Maders does have valet parking.

Detachment 4, 2nd Bn. 24th Marines Reunion

Situation:  On 23 – 25 September, 2016, a mission, if you decide to accept these orders, will be conducted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  There seems to be a need for camaraderie and this 5 Paragraph Order will explain how we will adapt, improvise and overcome any obstacles, misgivings and or “Goat Rodeos” to accomplish this task! 

          METT-TC – (Mission, Enemy, Troops, Terrain, Time Available and Civilian Considerations) 

·       Civilian Considerations - a high priority here, an early recon informs us that there are mostly “friendlies” in this area no enemies observed as of this writing.   

          BAMCIS:

* Begin the Planning- in process and ongoing…

* Arrange Recon-mission accomplished by Joe and Barb Brooks. 

* Make Recon – also accomplished by Joe and Barb, some plans still TBD. 

* Complete Planning – Wil Holihan, Craig Hullinger, Larry Anderson and Joe Brooks. 

* Issue Order- order issued on the Hullinger Blog under DET 4…

* Supervise – why with all these senior Officer’s and SNCO’s, supervise who…?

Mission: In the words of GySgt R. Lee Ermey “It is my firm conviction that when Uncle Sam calls, by God we go, and we do the best that we can.”  Our mission then is to arrive, find shelter, then liquids, meet and greet fellow “leathernecks” and proceed to the Liberty weekend!

Det-4 Drill 23, 24, 25 September 2016 in Milwaukee

Our next drill is scheduled for 23, 24, 25 September 2016. Drill Headquarters will be the Brewhouse Inn and Suites, which is a nice redevelopment of the historic Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery near downtown Milwaukee.

Appropriate for the Det to be meeting in an old brewery turned hotel.
